Mmmm...toast
I'm one of those people that is *always* startled by the toaster. Even if I stand there staring at it, when it finally pops up, you'd think it was a hand, ala "Carrie". They really need a gentle chime before the jarring "KA-PANG!" of toast flying up. I'm almost 23% positive that it would cut down on morning heart attacks.

Best bookmarks ever
If you have not seen Henry Rollins "She's a reader!" bit, you should go look it up now. This phrase is used often in our house. We are readers, and we love our reader friends. I'm always stunned to hear people confess to being non-readers. My life would not be the same without the amazing books I have read. From The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, to Brave New World, to Catcher in the Rye, to Harry Potter, each has left a mark on me. Thanks to all the authors in the world. I love you!!!

Suspense
I love love love asian horror. BUT, I have no delusions. I'm not the kind of jaded horror fan that can sit calmly through any "gotcha" moment. My body is a tightly wound coil ready to spring off of the couch in full fight or flight mode at any moment. And yet, I still insist on drinking hot tea while watching a movie. As you can imagine, my husband is a very patient man.

Hail the conquering hero!
I confess to being a complete Target lurker. I can manage to find some reason, at least 3 times a week, to go into the store, grab a drink from Stargetbucks, and scour the clearance areas. As a result, my son has become something of a store mascot. The ladies at the store love him. For a while, there was a bitter rivalry between one of the checkout ladies and one of the floor managers. They would fight over who got to fetch him free popcorn, a cookie from the bakery, stickers, etc.
So this image may be a *slight* exaggeration, but not by much.

He burps, because he loves you.
Asia DeVinyl is a pin up goddess. She has style, grace, wit, humor. And patience with my barbarian horde.
Most dogs have some degree of gas. My dog, Danny is a champion belcher. You know you've been accepted into the clan when he casually strolls over, waits for you to pet him, and then belches like a trucker in your face. He's king of the "Buttercup". Asia, of course, was initiated into the family soon after we met. And she's still friends with me in spite of that dubious introduction. That , dear readers, is a true friend.

Roz Math
Math is not my thing. I see formulas as some kind of ancient writing. Look at them too long, and strange things may happen. Old Ones could be awakened! Reality could dissolve into madness! My brain might hurt a little! Of course, I won't let my shortcomings keep me from helping a loved one with their homework.
